Work and residence permit

The conditions for obtaining a work permit depend on your country of origin.

Health insurance

All residents of Switzerland must take out health insurance (basic insurance) independently.

Arrival at car-free Zermatt

Trains run directly to car-free Zermatt. A trip to Zermatt by automobile ends 5 km away in Täsch. Then it continues by shuttle train or by taxi to the resort at the foot of the Matterhorn.

Social benefits

Social insurance is financed by the inhabitants of Switzerland. The principle of solidarity applies: the majority of the population pays in, while individuals and certain groups receive support.

Rental contract

As soon as a suitable flat is found, the rental contract is concluded. The rental agreement stipulates rights and obligations for both landlords and tenants.
